Error Code 36! old issue, tried the fixes, nothing working :(

Thanks in advance for your help! I've tried all potential solutions I can find online and nothing has worked.

Issue

• I receive error code 39 when trying to copy a folder from my desktop to ANY other location on my computer.

• Regardless of where I try to copy and paste the folder, I get the above error and the attempted copy looks like the following image, where "Test Copy Error 36 2" is zero kb.

• The error occurs only when

1. 1. ...attempting to copy a file from desktop or documents (both synced to iCloud) to ANY other location (desktop, documents, oneDrive, etc). I do not have problems copying and pasting a file from onedrive folder on my laptop to the desktop or documents.
   2. ...attempting to copy and paste (or duplicate) folders. I can copy and paste individual files without issue.

• The folders I am trying to copy and paste ARE downloaded to my desktop.

Solutions I've Tried

• "dot_clean " in terminal.
• Booting in recovery mode and using Disk Utililty to perform first aid on Mac HD.
• Stopping and restarting desktop and documents sync with iCloud.

Other (potentially helpful) Notes

• I'm running macOS Monterey 12.7.1
• My desktop and documents are synced to iCloud.
