How to remove the My Location icon in the iPhone Weather app?

The My Location icon gets in the way when viewing the air quality map in Europe on the iPhone Weather app. See the screenshot where it obscures 1/3 of Italy. It's ridiculous because wherever I am the My Location icon is always blocking the area that I'm most interested in. There's no reason for this icon to be so huge because of course I already know where I am. There appears to be no way to remove it and still see the information from the map. I know that by repeatedly tapping on it, I can sometimes make it smaller. But even when it's smaller, it still gets in the way. There should be an option to make it pinpoint small so that it doesn't get in the way, or better yet, remove it.

Unfortunately, the "My Location" icon in the iPhone Weather app cannot be permanently removed or resized beyond its default options provided by Apple. However, you can try the following methods to manage its visibility:

1. Minimize the Icon:

- Repeatedly tap the "My Location" icon to minimize its size. Although it still remains visible, this can make it less obtrusive.

2. Zoom and Pan:

- Adjust the map view by zooming in or out and panning around to see the areas of interest without the icon blocking important information.

3. Feedback to Apple:

- Provide feedback to Apple about this issue. Go to Settings > Feedback > Submit Feedback, or use the Apple Feedback page.

These steps might help in temporarily mitigating the issue, but for a permanent solution, Apple would need to update the app based on user feedback.
