iPad Pro M4 is lagging behind?

Traded in my Air 5th Generation, tempted by the new M4 Pro + “trade in” (that was an expensive joke!)

I’m now confused. This new M4 is claimed to be fast. Really fast.

But I’m experiencing a definite lag when rotating the screens: what you think of as the foreground rotates, with the background following half a second later (?)

Sometimes scrolling Safari gets the wobbling jitters.

YouTube decides I should be watching at 2x speed without my input.

Anyone have similar issues or knows what’s going on please?

Funny how my older Air was as smooth as silk (but 0 value apparently) and my first Pro welcomes me with irritating glitches!

Yes, it does. Super frustrating. I have an iPad Pro that's 6 years old that runs Notability better than my new M4.

For the amount of money needed to invest in the new iPad (special case required, pencil, keyboard folio), it's really disappointing that it has many more issues than a 6-year-old product from the same company. If you turn the iPad M4 off and back on, it'll stop lagging for another couple hours, but I have to restart it several times a day to fix these issues because it becomes unusable (it's like, you draw a line in notability and then get to watch a slow-motion replay of the line being drawn...)

It will also heat up really quickly. I wouldve much much much much MUCH preferred this iPad to be twice as thick if it meant no heating or lag issues. It looks way nicer, the new pencil is nice, it has much better peaks in performance, is easier to hold, etc. but the consistent stability of my 2018 iPad made it feel better to use. It feels very dumb restarting my iPad in the middle of a lecture, missing out on details, just to fix the unbearable lag that appears after an hour of notetaking.

If Apple doesn't have an update to fix it, I may try selling and either "upgrade" to an M2 iPad Pro or stick with the 2018 until they make a better product. Maybe it's just my use-case that makes this issues so apparent though.
