My account gets locked when my wife logs into our shared Apple tv+ household account

This happens 100% of the time. If I logon and she does not I can watch Apple TV+ (on a Comcast X1 settop box) with no logon issues. That is it caches my user credentials and I do not have to logon or reenter my username and password. As soon as she logons on to watch on her tv (another Comcast X1 settop box) then my account is LOCKED (not just logged out but locked). I have to go through the obnoxious process of unlocking my account then I have to logon with my username / password and then I can watch Apple tv+.

I can't believe that this was intentionally designed to work this way, that this must be some oversight or bug. Are there any workarounds for the Comcast X1 settop box and Apple tv+. I have no issue if I have to re-logon after she logs on but I hate the unlocking process.

Are you saying that Comcast codes the Apple tv+ app?

Apple will have coded a version of their app for the Comcast set-top box platform; that is how such arrangements are made.

The Apple TV+ app should handle unlimited sign-ins on smart TVs and TV-connected streaming devices. However, the Apple ID account (including optional Family Sharing) would have constraints on simultaneous streams being used (up to 6 for Apple TV+). Thanks for the tip Jonathan - I will contact them for help. No other settop streaming player software on my Comcast X1 acts like the Apple tv+ app does by locking the account. I have experience with 5 other streaming apps.

Are you saying that Comcast codes the Apple tv+ app? I kind of thought that Apple would retain ownership of their proprietray app software but if you're representing Apple support and say that's the case I'll take your word for it.
