Remove "Important" Folder from a gMail account in Apple Mail

I thought this might be useful as I had been looking around for a solution and nothing worked.

I have 2 gMail accounts "linked" to my Apple Mail app. This is where I check my e-mail.

I realized my new "work" e-mail from gMail shows the "Important" folder when I check it via Apple Mail.

But my old "personal" e-mail from gMail didn't show it.

I prefer it this way. Simple.

...

So I tried deleting the "Important" folder directly on Apple Mail. I couldn't.

Then I thought, well let's go to mail.google.com in Chrome and try to copy its configuration. For whatever reason, it doesn't show the "Important" folder in Apple Mail.

...

It worked.

Go to Settings (top right wheel) / "See all settings" and then...

And then... pick what you want to see:

I closed Apple Mail. Opened it again. And no more "Important" folder.

I don't know if it helps, but... there you have it.
