I have a MacBook Pro running Sonoma 14.5. After filling out all the information in Settings for Wallet & Apple Pay, I am still unable to use Apple Pay at websites in Safari. When I try, a window pops up, and the Touch ID circle briefly appears then disappears. The only active button on that window is Cancel. I also have an iPhone and Apple Pay works fine there. What am I doing wrong?

I found a solution... removing Xcode and changing FileVault's status did nothing for me, and turning on Safe Mode made it work.
Then I realized I had a utility running on my Mac called Quickshade that allows me to dim all the displays I have connected to my Mac at the same time. (It's a software overlay that dims the video output of the entire GUI, but doesn't control the actual display hardware.) Anyway, this overlay appears to remove focus from the Apple Pay popup in any browser.
So when I quit Quickshade, Apple Pay works as expected.
It appears that any utility that messes with the GUI in this way will produce a similar problem.
Does she have Apple Pay activate on her account?
How many user accounts on your Mac? Does anyone else have Apple Pay setup on the computer?
Just one and thats my account. No one else uses it.

No. My wife does not have Apple Pay active on her account. She also does not use Apple Pay on her iPhone.
Already done without success.

One user. Tried the above, No go. Will probably have to take it in to Apple for them to diagnose at this point.

The frames you posted all look the same. What am I supposed to be seeing? Do you get an error message? If so, what does it say?

It's an M1 Pro MacBook without a keyboard attached. TouchID works for everything else (login, keychain, etc.)
I just updated to 14.6.1 (23G93) and it's still misbehaving.
I'm in the Czech Republic. What do I do in Safe Mode?
Yep same here! Touch ID authenticates fine on sites and loggin in but not Apple Pay. We shouldn't have to be dev testing our devices when the feature is supossed to "just work".
