iCloud emails on my android won't open.

You need to download the firefox browser in the app store and log in on your icloud account from there. I did the same thing and now I can open my icloud emails in my samsung S23Ultra. Hope this helps!😉

This has been frustrating me for months- just found the solution- you must tap the area where the small blue dot is when you receive a new message. It won't open clicking anywhere else on the message.

I have reported it too, and it's my primary email address too. I have added the mac.com account to the Gmail app now and am accessing it through that (with an app specific password) until they fix this

On my Samsung phone icloud emails can be seen ..but only opened if you hit reply...

Yes, but all the hyperlinks inside the email are dead if you use "Reply" to see the contents.

I installed Firefox from the Play Store and that solved the problem.

I'm running a Pixel 6 Pro with the latest patches/updates to Android.

I found a way to open it:

You have to make a double click on the mail really fast (instantly) but not on the same spot.

Use your 2 tumbs to spam click on the mail very fast alternating between right and left.

You cannot use one tumb since the 2 spots need to be apart from each other and and the second click must be right after the previous without any delay.

Elsewise use the forwarding workaround, but it didn't let me open embeded links.

My workaround here is to tap and hold the email and tap reply, this way I can see what's in the email.

Work for me, in samsung fold 6, two clicks fast over mail, and them open.

Samsung internet and google chrome:

While I don't have a solution, I noticed that it's seems to be related to the "DESKTOP VIEW" in the settings for the browser. When I turn it off amd use "mobile view" I can scroll the emails though still not open them.

I can open an email if i catch it while it shows on screen as a pop up.

Email apps work fine (just web browsers).

Firefox:

Does not work in desktop form but works if open in mobile view.

Also there is this weird looking icon with a rectangle and little horizontal lines when in the desktop view.

SOLUTION: There are two things you can do and the first one is what I prefer:

1) The button is just shrunk to probably a dot, and the dot is positioned at the left corner of every mail. Try to tap around the Blue Dot that depicts unread mail. I start by tapping on the blue dot, and downwards and then the mail opens.

2) When you are on the dashboard window of the icloud (where you can see only 3 mails) you can enter the mail from there. Then you keep tapping on the down arrow "v" symbol on the toolbar on top right corner of the mail to go to next mails and so on.

Hey y'all. I'm not sure if Apple put out a fix for this yet. I'm still having this same issue. So here's what I have to do in order to view my emails from the web browser.

I go to my mail widget on the icloud page and tap the email I want to view. Then when you're in the email, you can navigate between emails using the links at the top right. See pics for reference.

I hope this helps someone. I won't give up my android phone until Apple allows us to clear apps cache and data like android, plus other items.

Inform Apple of this:

Do your Part: Report this to Apple. Apple won't get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is going on, and what fixes to include in updates to come. Apple will never know if this, if it is not reported.

1. Go Here: Feedback - Mail - Apple
2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
3. Comment: on when you came access it issue, and how you have troubleshot it thus far. Include the URL of this thread.
4. Proceed from there as necessary

Things just got weirder!

Had a hunch and tried hooking up my wireless keyboard to the phone and it works in both modes, mobile as well as desktop.

Both browsers that weren't working before (Chrome and Samsung Internet).

So, everything works with external keyboard.

I'm gonna forget the bluetooth keyboards and reboot the phone and let yall know if it fixes the issue.

Tap to open icloud email does not respond.

Finger hold to scroll down deleted 4 emails that were not even opened!

I was unable to recover one of them.

Suggestions to hold to reply works to see the body of content but attachments cannot be opened.

Given the unexpected deletion without opening anything I'd say, do not risk hacks to open mail. As the normal behaviour to use is unpredictable.

Interestingly there is something weird going on with mac.com email on Outlook on Android too. It is only showing one or two mails for the previous day and only one for the previous week. I know there are more mails as I can see them on cloud.com and if you add the mac.com email address to Gmail app you can see them on there. I don't think it's an android problem per se, I think it's the way Apple have made a change to mac.com / me.com / icloud.com email and they haven't tested it on Android. All my other email accounts work.
