The Sony ICD-UX560 is a portable Digital Voice Recorder.

There are no associated software downloads for the Mac – only for Windows 7, 8, 10, and 11. But I think what you do is to plug the ICD-UX560 into a computer (using USB), then copy files off it like it was a USB flash drive. This recorder has a hidden (slide-out) USB-A plug for making the connection. If your MacBook Pro has USB-C ports, you may need a USB-C to USB-A adapter like the ones that Apple and others sell.
