re-connecting my printer after changing my Wifi network?

I couldn't find a way to change my Wifi network on my printer (Canon Pixma TS5151) and clicking on the printer icon on my Mac returns the message: "Print service not available anymore".

I have followed all the recommended steps to do so on my printer but get stuck when it comes to enter the name of the Wifi network (no keyboard access).

And I cannot either add a printer in the System Preferences of my Mac, as my Canon printer has disappeared from the list and I cannot re-enter it (even though the Canon icon is still visible on my screen).

To cut the story short, I am now running out of ideas to solve this problem.

Any help most welcome, thanks!

Do I understand this correctly? Is one problem how to connect the printer to the Wi-Fi router (Wi-Fi network)? If necessary, you may want to try a simplified setup using WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup). This provided that your router supports it. There are two ways, one push-button variant and one PIN method. See, for example, the following articles:

Once the printer is connected to your Wi-Fi network, try adding the printer to use AirPrint. Additional software/drivers should not be needed. The Canon TS5151 is listed in About AirPrint - Apple Support.

You do not mention the exact Mac and its operating system version.

Start with this if M1, M2, or M3 Mac...

On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > Shut Down.

Wait for your Mac to shut down completely. A Mac is completely shut down when the screen is black and any lights (including in the Touch Bar) are off.

Press and hold the power button on your Mac until “Loading startup options” appears.

Select a volume.

Press and hold the Shift key, then click Continue in Safe Mode.

The computer restarts automatically. When the login window appears, you should see “Safe Boot” in the menu bar.

Does the problem occur in Safe Mode?

Restart normally.

Start with this if IntelMac...

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode? Could take 10 minutes or more.

Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.

If still need be…

To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...

Open System Preferences>Users & Groups, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.

Does it work in the new account?
