As shown below, the New Document is highlighted but I can't open it with the return key. I have to click on it. Also the Open option below is also greyed out. How can I open a new document without using the trackpad at all?

I would get a screen , much like that of @IdrisSeabright
Numbers ( version 14.1 (7040.0.73) is also the latest version released June 11, 2024 for mcOS 14 Sonoma

It seems, the Default for opening Numbers with iCloud, will present
At least that is how it is working on 1 M1, 1 M2 and 1 M3 all with Sonoma
I don't get the New Document button there, either, though the reset of it looks similar.
What is the shortcut key to open new document?
