There are no further updates for macOS 10.11.6. Depending on the age of your MacBook Pro, you may be done, or there are other major upgrades available to install. OS X 10.7 came years before 10.11, so that is off the table.
In Apple () menu > About This Mac, look for what is in parenthesis on the product description line. That will be a year modifier (early, mid, late) and the year. Now you can check to see if your model and year of MacBook Pro is supported on a later operating system.

Beyond Mojave 10.14.6, there is no 32-bit application or device driver support so you need to verify that applications and printer/scanner support remain at the appropriate vendor site. You can see what software is 32-bit by using the free Go64 app.

Don't upgrade your Mac with performing a Time Machine back to an external drive and then don't let the new operating system back up to that Time Machine drive. Use another drive.
