2017 MacBook Pro Won’t Turn On

My 2017 MacBook Pro suddenly won’t turn on. I’ve tried all resets and different charging cables, but nothing works. I bought it used in 2021, and it never held a charge off the charger. Could the battery have finally failed, or could it be something else? Any thoughts?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.7

If it's never held a charge, then most likely the battery has indeed failed, though it's not impossible that the internal power circuitry has a fault. But I'd wager that the battery needs to be replaced. A 2017 MacBook Pro is now considered "vintage" by Apple so service options will be limited, but you can probably still get the battery replaced by an Apple Store or authorized Apple service center. There are also third-party battery replacement kits available, though it's not a particularly easy process.
