filter flagged mail by yellow flag on iphone

Trying to filter my mail by a certain colored flag. I see I can filter by "flagged" mail but that gives me all flags and I only want to see the ones that are flagged with a yellow flag. Can this be done?

Why email flags don't fly anymore For some time, without user input, Apple's Mail team has removed the ability for users to identify flagged emails from the main window. They give other options requiring a number of additional key clicks - which still don't actually SHOW the flag. How difficult would it be to add an elective column choice to show that little color dot?

Changing “flag” colors in iPad OS26 - Strange… I just update to iPad OS26 on my 2022 iPad Pro 12.9” . I like to often mark my mail with a colored flag and in the Mail on 26 there is a strange quirk that you can only choose one color! I marked two new mail messages and I could only choose orange as the flag color. Any mail I had marked previously in OS18 stayed the same colors. With my iPhone 16Pro using 26 I can choose different colors. I changed the first one I marked on the iPad to green - it did update that color on my iPad, but also changed other mail flags to green! Anyone else having this issue? Thanks!

To the best of my knowledge, no, that's not possible in the included Mail app in the existing versions of iOS. Whether the upcoming new release will offer that feature I don't yet know. If that's a critical feature for you and it's not added in iOS 18, you'll need to look for a third-party email app that would allow that.
