Apple Watch screen flickering

My Apple Watch screen is flickering with horizontal lines and the watch face hands are flickering, as if there were electrical interference or poor signal reception. The screen is also going through different colours for display face. I have shut down and re-started twice. My phone is next to me and the watch software is up to date. Any ideas ?
