iPhoto events not showing as Photos albums

Hello!

I have finally migrated my iPhoto library to a Photos library (new library created, not using my existing systems library). As I have just bought a new macbook air to set up.

I read online that iPhoto events should be showing up as albums in my Photos library, but this is not the case. I only have all the photos in the "Library".

Not sure if Ive missed a setting somewhere.. Ive googled around a bit but cannot find a similar issue.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 14.5

Since iPhoto was discontinued a decade ago, Apple no longer offers much support, and Events are now ignored on import.

The best way to import iPhoto Libraries is by using the trusted 3rd party app PowerPhotos ($30). In fact, PowerPhotos does so many useful things that it is open on my Mac all the time.

I totally missed saying that PowerPhotos maintains the events in iPhoto when you import to Photos. That was supposed to be my point in recommending it...
