I placed the pre-order promptly this morning the moment the apple stored allowed. My card has already been charged and the order is now in "processing". Apple usually does not charge for payment until an order shipped. Can I assume my phone is shipping or very close to it and potentially will receive before the launch date on the 20th?

Also, not sure what country you are in but if you are in the US if you have an account with UPS or FedEx you can often see when info about your package once a label was created before you may receive an email or text from Apple about it officially shipping. In the past it’s how I would track movement of preorders seeing them travel through China and its various stops until it reached the US and then reached the UPS hub in Lexington KY then sit for several days (due to the shipping exceptions that Apple imposed) then usually the day before launch is when it starts moving again to reach your city/area distribution center and then of course loaded onto the truck that will deliver it to you.
I need help as well. I pre-ordered the IPhone 16 plus first thing Friday morning at 5 am and ordered a case as well. The IPhone has been on ‘Prepared To Ship’ since Sunday and now it is Wednesday and i just received the phone case without any updates on the IPhone. I did what was recommended and created a UPS AND FedEx account to see if i have any packages coming but still nothing. It still says it will arrive on Friday the 20th but it’s already the 18th and i don’t see anything here. Is anyone else experiencing this?? For reference i am in the the US and in CA.
i ordered on Sep13 and i currently have the same message what everyone has. " Preparing for shipment"
How to pull the whole UPS tracking number? i only got from last 4 digits. It says on the way.

Same I looked on both sites and have accounts with both I even checked FED EX, but still indicates “ preparing to ship” but I preordered and paid and it says It would be here tomorrow. I pre ordered the moment the website allowed on day 1 of preorders. 😭

If you ordered it yesterday and they say October 7th through say the 15th, expect it in that time frame.
Reply to the wrong person but if it says you should have it on the 20th you will have it on the 20th. I’ll order mine first thing in the morning pretty early and off my phone and ultra watch will be delivered tomorrow already have tracking Thursday morning. If anyone pre-ordered it shows October I canceled because guaranteed the store will have them in stock.

If it's in Louisville, today and Apple says you will get it tomorrow, then you WILL get it tomorrow.
I had broken my iPhone 13 a few months and waited eagerly for the 16 to come out because my phone was on its very last life. I preordered when I remember the phone dropped on the 13th, so maybe in the morning-afternoon. My order says it arrives today (Sept 20th) so I’m not sure how long the delay was, or if i’m even getting my phone today!
I ordered mine at 8:13 am on the 13th and mine still has not shipped it's stuck in processing since that day, very frustrated I would have been better picking up in store. Seems ridiculous to pre order!!!
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME THE POINT OF PREORDERING ON PREORDER DAY IF ITS STILL GOING TO TAKE 3-4 WEEKS TO RECEIVE?!? I ordered direct from Apple too and would have already received my phone if I ordered from a phone carrier instead. Make it make sense Apple.
My order is showing delivery from Oct 5 to Oct 14. On 4th Oct it changed from processing to preparing to ship. Does anyone have any idea how long it takes it to change from preparing to ship to shipped?
i thinks because of the damened stuff mine is suppose to come this week or next weeek on holloween but it hasnt been shipped yet, fom what someone has to me they do the preapring for shipment 2 days before its suppose to be here and then hit shipped quickly but im just waiting now checking and seeing nothing right now, i think that maybe because apple doesnt have a lot of the iphone 16 pro max in stock but now everyone wants the iphone 16 pro max but now they have alot of people wanting the new phone. For me its a waiting game and for you I hope you got yours before that, hope you like your new phone

How much is the shipping weight? Only got one notification of a package but have two phones. Hoping both then will come together in same package.
