Hi! I have just updated my 13 PRO Max to iOS 18. I have issues with Siri and when i would like to make a call. Siri tells me that i need to unlock my phone to make a call. Apple support did not manage to resolve my problem. Anyone else who have the same problem?

Green screen problem on iphone 13 pro max is not because of software but hardware problem. If your unit is still under waranty i would like to suggest you to replace the screen of your unit at the nearest apple service center

I recommend you to update to 17.7 because of the security updates and because it is a very good and stable version of iOS.

The battery is great and so are the performances of the 17.7 so far.

If your iPhone supports iOS 17, there is no reason why you shouldn’t move on to a good and updated version.

Keep in mind that the phone is made to be updated constantly and remaining to an older version can possibly be a security issue on the long run. Also, there are always multiple new features that are worth updating for.

That's not true. I can do lots of things with Siri without unlocking my phone. I just tested making a phone call while my phone was locked and it worked. Asking about the weather worked. I did a currency conversion. I set up a reminder. No problems with any of those.

Again, not a common problem. I don't doubt that you are having these problems. However, if you decide that the problem is the update, it will seriously interfere with your ability to troubleshoot and actually get things fixed.

This is beyond bad and smacks of corporate irresponsibility or worse; an adhesion sabotage requiring the buying of a new phone or more product.

What the engineer has told you, I'm afraid is absolutely true. My iPhone 13 PM got the display issue about 20 months ago post an iOS update and luckily because it was still under the one year warranty period I got the display replaced for free.

I got the green screen issue again about an week back, I haven't even updated it to any of the iOS 18.x updates, but I only remember getting the notification for iOS 18.1.1 update which I kept on ignoring/postpone but still I have got the issue.

I'm currently fighting with Apple Care regarding this issue, they are yet to come back to me on the next steps.

Got a call from Apple support and have been denied any discount or free replacement of the display.

I was clearly told that nothing can be done and I have to pay up if I have to continue using the device.

Na thats been the same exact experience of millions especially with the music app there aint nothing to troubleshoot what IM doing im very tech savvy i know how to use my phone its on apples end my phone has been great since ive had it the day it come out until the recent update
