MacBook Air (M3) Dell second monitor input timing problem

Hi,

I've just got a new MacBook Air M3, I have tried to connect it to my home monitor setup (Dell P3223DE + Dell E2722HS) but I have the following issue. The Mac is connected via the usb-c of Dell P3223DE and then the E2722HS is connected via the Dell display cable directly to the P3223DE.

The P3223DE works however the E2722HS has black screen and shows me a similar message as the one in the below photo.

I've looked in the Display setting menu but the E2722HS isn't recognised/showing so I cannot change the resolution. Does anyone have any idea what's going wrong? I am new to Mac world so I m feeling completely lost here..

Thanks

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 15.0

Your Mac can only support two displays simultaneously, either the internal display and one external display, OR two external displays with the lid closed (clamshell mode, need an external keyboard and trackpad/mouse and on AC power).

So, if you want to use both displays you'll need to connect a keyboard and trackpad/mouse, plug the Mac into AC power and close the lid.
