I do NOT like what Apple did to the Photos in iOS 18... I can not find the Camera Roll. Closest is Recent Days, but it does not show all the pictures that were on the Camera Roll. I have to use a third party app on my PC to see the photos. I think Apple screwed up somewhere. Come on Apple, put Camera Roll back the way it used to be and the way it should be.

I found it... I re-read razmee209 first reply to me and he said Camera app.
Open the Camera app and in the bottom left corner is a small picture beside the click button, tap on that small picture, once opened, it doesn't say Camera Roll, which would be helpful if it did, and all the Camera Roll pictures are there and if you tap the All Photos at the top, your entire library would show.
It'll take time to get used to it after all the years the Camera Roll was in Photos.

There really isn't any way to keep track of it. I know I've seem some online articles complaining about the changes in Photos. Find those folks (if they're real people and not AIs) and drop them a line or comment on their articles.
It's a lot of work to turn an aircraft carrier.

Prior to iOS 18, the Photos app provided a folder called "Recents" where a user could review the photos they'd taken using that phone (as well as photos saved from messages, screenshots, etc) in order to decide which to keep, which to upload to their Mac, etc. In iOS 18, the Photos app lost that functionality. The photos described above are shown mixed up with photos synced from other sources.
At https://discussions.apple.com/thread/255760698, I see that there's a clumsy workaround in the Camera app but on my iPhone the Camera app displays the text “No Photos or Videos".
I had turned on the "Use Face ID” setting in Settings > Photos as an experiment. Though I've turned it off, the Photos app still says “Face ID Required to open Photos”. Could this be causing the Camera app problem?

If you scroll right to the bottom, click “customise and reorder”. You can select and deselect as you want to see and can reorder. It still shows the photos above, but if you scroll down you’ll see your albums again :)
sorry, just realised it still doesn’t separate camera roll, but at least it might help someone to find their albums again (I was looking for mine)
Please put Camera Roll back in next push. I can't accept this new ugly design.
Have you bothered to read ANYTHING in the 7 page thread you posted to? From your post it sounds like you didn’t bother.
And the camera roll has been gone for 5 years. Where have you been for the past 5 years?
And NO, I ABSOLUTELY REFUSE to put the camera roll back!
Pictures may still be there, I look for hours to find anything...
the only way I could find a certain picture, was to connect the phone to my computer and go through the folders in explorer to find it ... waste of time.
Bring back the old camera roll please.

I've used Explorer lots of times to copy the Camera Roll (Recents) to my PC and no problems, I also sometimes email them to myself. The EXIF is always there which I remove when I sync them to my phone.

That is not a bug. That was a feature change. The feedback link is good for letting Apple know what you think about that as well.
The "Camera Roll" or "Recents" is in the Camera app. It's in the lower left corner. If you click on the small picture it will enlarge and you can scroll thru all the pictures in the "camera roll". Someone had commented on this feed earlier. Hope this helps.
The Camera App shows all the photos in the camera roll but only in tiny little thumbnails. Would be better if the thumbnails were bigger and also available in the Photos App.
