Iphone 14 and MX Keys - Portuguese keyboard types wrong characters when typing

I have an Iphone 14 and also a MX Keys keyboard with a Portuguese Layout. Although in the Iphone 14 the language for the physical keyboard is set to Portuguese the characters are being presented wrongly.

For example: instead of á it appears a[

And this happens with all non normal letters.

Is there a fix for it?

If you are getting two characters instead of one, it sounds like a keyboard hardware problem. Check the support for the people who make it.

Please verify what you have checked in settings > general > keyboard > hardware keyboard > portuguese > tap over at the right edge. (There should be a long list of possibilities there).
