How to Fix Apps Not Working on Cellular Data After iOS 18 Update?

After the upgrade to 18, no apps work, they just keep spinning. I've restarted several times. Forgotten wifi and reinstalled, done all the things online recommended and still just spins on every app. This is the worst upgrade ever. Other than texting and phone calls, my phone is worthless.

I did restart several times. Does not work. Can't go directly onto a website or use any APPS - just get the spinning wheel. iPhone 11 Pro Max. All works when connected to Wi-Fi but not when wi-fi is off and bluetooth is off.

I’m having the same issue. I’m on an iPhone 11 - which has worked perfectly without any issues.

I updated to iOS18 a few days after it was released and now my phone really struggles keeping a network connection active. (Wi-Fi works fine.)

It’s really irritating because the moment I leave a WiFi area, my phone becomes useless. I’ve tried: restarting; switching to airplane mode & back on after 1min.; toggling data off and back on; and other usual fix-its but none work.

i got a brand new 15 pro max my cellular data does not work at all it shows me 5g 5g+ and nothing loads as soon as I’m on WiFi everyone work a PLEASE for f sake fix this issues a lot of work from our phones this is absolutely unacceptable

Has anyone found a fix to this? Been without internet now (except WiFi) for over 3 days since I updated to IOS 18.01… losing work (and money!) because of this. Apple aren’t helpful at all as per usual

same happen to my iphone 15 plus.. i have been cracking my head just for it to be okay.. and already tried everything that was on the internet and still no avail... can someone here already fix this problem? please let us know... and thank you so much

Since iOS 18.01 I can’t do banking nor operate my Tesla through the app. This is an urgent matter that all iOS users require an immediate remedy. In this day and age it should never have been allowed to happen!!!

iPhone 12 Pro Max user with Verizon (unlimited plan w/travel pass) and am currently traveling abroad until the end of the year, and all of a sudden I can ONLY make calls and text. I have been unable to utilize my cellular data for over 2 weeks!

After, hours of troubleshooting with Verizon, they say the issue is the device. Contacted Apple and their diagnostic says that nothing is wrong with my device, and it must be an issue with the carrier. I have been with Verizon and on the same plan for years and have had this device since 2021, and only since the release of iOS 18, I’m having cellular data issues.

Please resolve this iOS 18 glitch, as I’ll switch over to Samsung - if I need to buy a new device.

I been using IOS 18 for about 5 months and I have only now experienced this problem with my cellular data tbh seeing how buggy this iOS is apple should have tested it a little bit more before releasing it to the public…… and for those wondering if there’s a fix for this there’s not this update turns your phone into a brick or a super mini iPad the only way to access your internet is via a hotspot or WiFi

I’ve just updated to 18.2 and my WhatsApp will work on cellular data if I go in and manually refresh where it will then take a few seconds to connect and the messages will come through but no notification is received.

same thing is happening with instagram so not sure if it’s meta/facebook related companies

I have an iPhone 13 pro max. Started struggling with losing wifi connection on previous update and after IOS18 update i have no more signal on either of my 2 sims or wifi. Apple says nothing wrong with phone on diagnostic. Im working through personal hotspot from my old iPhone 6s.

think this will be my last iPhone!

Using AT&T Prepaid cell phone plan. No data package. So iMessage = off, RCS=off

Updated my iPhone SE to 18.1.1 and then 18.2.

Several contacts are no longer able to message me. Their phones say "message not delivered".

At&T reviewed my plan and found no issues.

Seems like the iOS 18 caused the issue ?

15 pro max. Shows 5G+ but I can’t even send a text, iMessage, read emails, load a website or anything involving data unless I restart my phone. Then it works for a few minutes and stops again.

As soon as I am back on wifi, it all comes through perfectly fine.

I have reset my network settings and that did not help.

I have tried each step above with no results. I have an iPhone 16 Pro and forgot to turn auto updates off. Once 18.2 was downloaded last night, I cannot connect to the internet and no apps work either. my $1200 phone is now a freakin flip phone. Apple needs to fix this...

Just meet this issue yesterday.

My case base on iphone 12, and my cellular data runs ok, fast, stable.

But during trade in process yesterday, the diagnose result said cellular baseband -presence check- the module wasn't detected. But the function was all right when i swith wifi and cellular data. Even staff in apple official store didn't know what happend.

Does this related to beta version installed in the phone?
