iphone 16 pro max preorder UPS status update

Hi there, I've pre-ordered mine last Friday and this morning I've received a tracking number; however it is showing as: UPS doesn’t have possession of the package yet. Estimated delivery date will be available as soon as we get the package.

I understand what it means that UPS hasn't either picked it up yet or scanned the item but it's sort of making me worried.. And I've pre-ordered at the AT&T store where I had paid for the tax on the phone. It got charged on my account at the time as pending but this morning, I checked my account and I don't see the transaction anymore.

That tracking notice does indeed that the shipment has been entered into UPS's system but they have not yet booked it as having received the package. This is quite normal - I've seen it dozens of times when ordering from any number of vendors - and in and of itself is nothing to worry about.

As to the charge not appearing in your account, that's something you will need to take up with AT&T. It's possible that what you saw as a "charge" before was just the credit hold and that the actual charge has not been processed yet. But we will have no way of knowing. Talk with AT&T to confirm your order details.
