How do I fix Bluetooth connection issue on my iPhone 15 Pro Max with iOS 18?

Is anyone experiencing Bluetooth problems like me? After some time, connected devices like Apple Watch disconnects and connects every minute, and new devices that should connect like CarPlay don't even connect. I got this also during beta and tried disconnects and repair, network settings reset and reinstalling from iCloud Backup. Nothing worked, only doing a hard reboot. Then it works for half a day until the bug strikes again. Very annoying....

Please try this. It worked for me.

Turns out is was because the new feature Vocal Shortcut is turned on.

The issue was resolved when i turn the Vocal Shortcut off.

Settings > Accessibility > Vocal Shortcuts, turn it off.

I have this issue and first I returned my phone to the store via post so they could check my phone. They check they phone and claim it’s fine. Jet my iPhone can’t stay connected to my cars Bluetooth for example. I already went to a Genius Bar and they say the hardware is fine. At this stage I invested a lot of time in the issue which is not resolved and I am currently not using my brand new iPhone 16 pro anymore. It’s useless - I notice now using my iPhone 14 pro the switching from 5g to my WiFi goes much smoother. With the 16 pro I lose the connection of the conversation in that process. Apple has now offered that I call them whenever I loose the connection but the thing is: I have about 20 hours invested in this and this is just really unfair. So at this stage after lots of good years with Apple products the purchase of my iPhone 16 pro which is pretty expensive here in Europe was a true disappointment.

Yes! I was on the phone with Apple senior advisors for almost 2 hours. I even tried contacting them when I was still in my 14 day window when I first got my phone. They did diagnostics. I sent them videos of what was going on. They screen shared to see what was going on. They were having me go thru the usual things to eliminate what could possibly be going on. To quickly say towards the end of the conversation that I need to contact Toyota as it’s not anything Apple. 🙄 disappointed to say the least.. since it’s not just me but tons of people this is currently happening to!

For this particular issue, try to reset your bluetooth headphones. All devices have limited memory, meaning also a limited number of maximum devices they can internally store to remember them. For most speakers, you press and hold 2 buttons at the same for 10 sec, like the on/off button and the louder button is most common. It will delete all paired devices from the headphones internal memory and allow to connect to new ones.

To know the specific way to reset your speakers, check their manual.

The Bluetooth on my iPhone 14 hasn’t been working for a 3 weeks now. Everything was fine until, at some point, it started endlessly turning on and off by itself. I’ve tried resetting the settings, doing a hard reset, updating to iOS 18.3—none of these helped. I even deleted all VPN profiles just in case (I saw this suggested on forums), but that didn’t work either. According to forums, this bug has existed since September and affects thousands of people. The constant cycling causes the Bluetooth settings to freeze. My watch, headphones, car—everything has turned into a pumpkin!

I've got exactly the same issue since upgrading to 18.5 with both my iPhone and Apple TV. My iPhone 15 Pro Max intermittently disconnects from my Airpods and when in my car using CarPlay which is not great when using sat nav.

Since upgrading my 3rd Gen Apple TV to the newest 18.5 tvOS, the remote control constantly goes in a connect/disconnect status making it pretty much unusable. The remote fully charged and nothing in blocking the signal and the remote has a clear line of sight.

What have you done Apple and when are you going to fix it?

I'm having the same problem and it's the absolute worst. If I have to wait for the next update to listen to music on my phone, I might as well go back to the iPod. I've never been more frustrated. And as a music producer who plays files in his car to test the sound, this puts everything on a slow down and affects my business directly. I hope they can solve the issues soon. We can't be the only ones. This has to be getting a lot more people.
