How do I fix Bluetooth connection issue on my iPhone 15 Pro Max with iOS 18?

Same here. All described. Also when I switch from CarPlay to Radio… says “feature not available.” Brand new AirPods4 with ANC pauses and resumes play once in a while. I have iPhone 13 Pro Max. My car is a Hyundai Tucson 2024 … just two months old. The Bluetooth issue started after iOS18 upgrade.

I am having the exact same issues with any Bluetooth headphone connected to my iPhone. All of this has occurred directly after the iOS 18 upgrade. It is very annoying and hope that there is a fix soon.

Just bought iPhone 16pro. Downloaded 18 iOS update and no Bluetooth. My phone is advertised as “blazing fast” but it is sluggish. Google won’t let me listen to YouTube music because I can’t say yes the number is correct to suit them. I really wish Apple could do an update without ruining what works. What’s worse is I can’t talk on my phone because my hearing aids won’t pair with Bluetooth

Same issues here too. CarPlay disconnects and won’t reload until I delete my phone and the reconnect at least two times before it sticks. Then the next time I am in my car I have to do it all over again!!!! Beyond frustrated!

Perfect, I thought I was going insane and did everything but throw my phone and stomp on my AirPods! Update to iOS 18 they said, it has better updates they said, you have eye control they said….F that I just want to listen to my music without it pausing when I literally touch my phone! Apple please gonkulate a fix ASAP!

Same here. I’m a truck driver and rely on bluetooth connectivity for my dexcom. Random disconnects every 3 seconds also my Bluetooth earbuds sound really low to the point you can barely hear anyone on the other line. And carplay connects and disconnects every second. About to return this iPhone 16 back if they don’t get it together soon!

Im having the same issue with both my bluetooth bose speakers. I teach a line dance class and just came from the class and had dozens of disruptions of the music just stopping then starting again. really embarrassing since i have a nice class. I had to end it early. it was impossible to teach. I use spotify for my music. i hope they have a fix soon. this all started since the software update.

We also have same issue. My daughter’s new iPhone 16 Pro Max starts to have Bluetooth connection issue today, either disconnecting her Apple Watch or Dexcom CGM. Many people like us using Bluetooth to connect medical devise. This is a critical issue. Apple please fix it.

my Pods randomly disconnect from my iPhone to other devices in the house and I’m the only one on ios18, also kids can no longer connect to my hotspot, CarPlay issue also. Why is Apple being quiet on this one??

iPhone 16 Pro/IOS 18 (22A3354) Bluetooth connection issue: Connects to my motorcycle and my BOSS stereo in my pickup, but refuses to connect to my 2018 Cadillac ATS-V. Upgraded to the iPhone 16 Pro from my iPhone 15 Pro (IOS 17.6.1) which has never had a problem with the Cadillac. Short iPhone 16 Pro tests with wired CarPlay seem to be ok, but hands free is a no-go and a definite driver safety issue - Apple take Note! Let's get this fixed ASAP.

Shame on you, Apple. Please do more quality control before rolling out your software! Audio shortcuts should be an excellent solution. I was trying to use them, but now I have to cancel them.

Same. Figured it was an ios18 issue since I just updated. Can't play spotify through my Bluetooth speaker as I have for years...including just before the 18 upgrade. Spotify plays a few seconds of the song and then just tries to load/buffers. Very frustrated!

None of the above suggested tricks worked for me. I rely on my Bluetooth headset daily to field phone calls. Looks like I won’t be able to do that. Thanks Apple; I’m glad you spent more time working on the side button press animations than ensuring you enabled industry-standard tech from the 90s.

I purchased a brand new 2024 honda and two weeks later purchased new iPhone 16 pro max. CarPlay does not work. Gave a weird message “make sure hands free link is turned on”. I even switched cords and still does not work. Very frustrating

Yes! Been having Bluetooth issues since I purchased the new iPhone 16 with the IOS 18. It connects to my car for a few seconds then disconnects. It’s very annoying! I called Apple support and they claim there are “no known issues reported”. They told me to update my cars firmware but I have a 2019 Cadillac that’s updated and no issues with my other iPhone. I wish they’d fix this glitch!!!
