How do I fix Bluetooth connection issue on my iPhone 15 Pro Max with iOS 18?

Is anyone experiencing Bluetooth problems like me? After some time, connected devices like Apple Watch disconnects and connects every minute, and new devices that should connect like CarPlay don't even connect. I got this also during beta and tried disconnects and repair, network settings reset and reinstalling from iCloud Backup. Nothing worked, only doing a hard reboot. Then it works for half a day until the bug strikes again. Very annoying....

Please try this. It worked for me.

Turns out is was because the new feature Vocal Shortcut is turned on.

The issue was resolved when i turn the Vocal Shortcut off.

Settings > Accessibility > Vocal Shortcuts, turn it off.

Apple, PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP!! iOS 18 was a bad move. Blood sugar monitor alarm goes off ALL DAY & ALL NIGHT and all Bluetooth devices no longer work because they refuse to stay connected to Bluetooth since the update. This is a nightmare on many levels and an epic Apple fail. Super disappointed.

A forced restart helps for about 30 mins then everything fails again. 😡

Adding to the parade of complaints so  doesn’t think it’s isolated…

Bluetooth audio: on iOS18 and Sonoma, AirPods Pro and Beats Studio+ both connect normally, but within 90 seconds, the audio deteriorates—scratchy and choppy on the Beats and “wobbly” like a warped vinyl record on the AirPods. Putting the earbuds back into their cases for a few seconds fixes it but just for another 90-ish seconds.

CarPlay: Nearly unusable. Disconnects itself often. Car then gives me an error that says the device’s version of Bluetooth is outdated. When it’s working, things are fine until Maps speaks directions. After the map directions, audio doesn’t return to whatever I was playing before (music or podcast). About half of the time, the phone just disconnects at this point.

Drives me nuts when the first step of basic tech is to be asked to wipe the contents of the phone or the cache. It is such a time consuming exercise and very rarely fixes the problem and then there is the huge task in front of you of re setting everything up. I am having issues with my new iPhone and its blue tooth connectivity. I have been happily using the iPhone 12 back and forth connecting to a variety of bluetooth devices including my car, Marshall speaker, sound bar and ue boom. Now it won't connect to my ueboom and is glitchy at best with most procedures having to be done multiple times before it works. I guess it's IOS 18 playing up? I forget the pains of a major upgrade to a new phone. It is NEVER as simple as we hope. Most of us love playing our music...so to not have this right is a super fail in the testing and release of these updates/upgrades.

Hi everyone just bought a new 15pro 1TB on 2nd octobet. The device was on iOS 17.1 when arrivrd. My phone was slow and not responsive at times. All freezed hile using whatsapp. The updated to 17.7 the next day. After that I could see my battery percentage was really good. On standby at night when kept idle on 55 percent went down to 54 percent only. I was amazed but now when the apple executive at the apple service center as well as the person on the call said it's better If I pdate to the latest 18.0.1 i did it. I was very hesitant at first but i still took their advice, and now I'm facing many issues like battery is draining fast on my regular usage. As well as when connected to my car audio through Bluetooth before the update it was totally fine the other person could hear me but not its very bad, the other person can't hear me. When i started to talk to the apple support on call in my car she said I'm sounding robotic and not clear at all which was not the case prior to the update. Kindly give me a solution. This is my first apply phone and a horrible experience. Android is such a pleasant experience and things are done faster. I hope apple proces me wrong. The price i paid for this was huge so it needs to be justified.

Just installed 18.0.1 on my 16 Pro. Still will not pair with my '18 Cadillac. Phone sees the bluetooth, has a matching pairing number, but when pairing initiated does not install into the CUE system. Phone says it's paired, but CUE says it's not. All my previous iPhones paired immediately. Apple: Ask Apple Intelligence how to fix it - please!

Hello,

I recently upgraded from iPhone 12 to 16 pro. Since the switch I cannot get my phone to pair with my 2019 Cadillac XTS. The blue tooth is normally easy to setup. The car also has a USB connection and although it will charge the phone no other service work (Apple Car Play). Hopefully Apple can make updates/repairs to fix this - my upgrade feels more like a downgrade.
