How do I fix Bluetooth connection issue on my iPhone 15 Pro Max with iOS 18?

Exactly the same problem. Never had an issue with immediate BT connection at every startup until IOS 18.0.1. Now my existing BT connection must be deleted from my phone AND from my vehicle and a new pairing must be made every time I start the vehicle.

New Bluetooth settings are annoying in iOS 18 for iPhones! When wanting to do a quick turn off or on, it now forces me to choose which devices and go through multiple screens to get the job done! What happened to just quick off/on with a single swipe and tap? I have one device at home that auto connects to Bluetooth and grabs the sound in my phone. The quick “off” feature was helpful. Now it takes an act of Congress to simply turn it off and on temporarily. Apple turning on new features with updates is also quite annoying. They should be defaulted “off” unless activated. New features are not always desired by users. Why not just let us know it is available and offer to turn it on? Defaulting to “on” feels like a privacy violation at some level.

As reported earlier, my problem is with the bluetooth connection to my hearing aids • I tried two of the suggestions given (turning Vocal Shortcut off and resetting network settings) without result • hoping the next update will solve the issue • thanks

Before 18 my car and bathroom speakers would autoconnect away from my Oticon hearing aids but now on 18 , I have to turn off/on bt on my iphone 14 Pro Max and then the speaker connects.  

Maybe I have a new setting wrong but I haven't found it yet.   Would anyone have an idea on this?

My phone to my ear buds suddenly has started to break up. I can’t have my phone in my pocket sometimes … I’m talking gym ware clothing. If I move around my small nyc apartment the blue tooth has suddenly started to break up to speakers. NOT BUYING A NEW IPHONE to fix this bs

Bluetooth issues,Siri stutters during GPS navigation, Random disconnects during CarPlay every two seconds, Find my location issues in which I never had while watching my kids while they’re at school and the list goes on with all the bugs that have been thrown on But yet no response from Apple regarding this issue

I have Airpods Pro 2 and my wife has regular airpods v3. Both of us had to disconnect our airpods to try to repair the connection issues and now neither of us can reconnect them to our phones. We have -vocal shortcuts- turned off already. We didn't have these problems before updating to 18.0. I'm sure Apple is working on it, I just wanted to add to the list so a fix can be prioritized.

Seems like updates are made by mentally challenged people. Very limited, and they don’t run tests before launching… basic mistakes that shouldn’t happen. F-them. Also the VERY USELESS AND ANNOYING LOW-BAT REMINDER. I DONT F-ING NEED NOR WANT A REMINDER

I posted about my issues with Cadillac XTS issues about a month ago. I cannot connect my phone via Bluetooth or USB. Every update I cross my fingers but still to luck. So I basically don’t use my phone while driving and have to listen to FM radio like I did as a teenager. My “new” iPhone is a disappointment.

my vehicle is a 2017 year model. I had an iPhone 12 pro running iOS 17. Connected via Bluetooth to car with no problems at all. Played my music, hands free calls, read texts aloud, read aloud map directions, etc., through my car speakers. “Upgraded” to iPhone 16 pro running iOS 18.1. Bluetooth connection will play music but will not connect (not even shown as an audio option) when making/taking calls, using maps, etc., no audio output at all with any feature but the music.

Having issues with choppy audio connection when playing music through Bluetooth in my 2012 Mercedes. This was never an issue until I upgraded to iPhone 16 and iOS 18. Music breakers up as if there is a buffering problem. This happens intermittently.

My Bluetooth headphone PLT Focus no longer works with 18.1 as well, bluetooth never connects to this device anymore, I continually delete this device & re-add, but it never works!!! Very anoying!!!

I’m also having Bluetooth problem with my iPhone connecting to Apple Watch.

It keeps disconnecting and my Apple Watch is useless now🤦🏻‍♂️

For god’s sake someone inform Apple about this problem. They should solve it as soon as possible instead of trying to get their Intelligence thingy to work properly after months 😏😤

so you bought a new mouse but didn’t inform Apple about this situation?

Unfortunately I live in a country that there is no official Apple Store but if any of you guys can reach Apple please inform them about this issue which hundreds of people are facing after the update.

It cannot be just an incident.
