Setting up new iPhone and transferred number from old phone. New phone appears stuck on "Cellular Setup Complete" with only the greyed out bar at the bottom of the screen and a spinning "thinking" icon. Next step??

Same here. iPhone 16 pro max flashes the unlock keypad screen and the slide to turn off screen for a second with no allowance to do anything. Hello brick. Apple support has no ideas! iPhone scorching hot. I'm hoping the battery drains. What is going on with a $1,599 phone?

I had the same issue and shut it down and back on again. It took a beat, but it did fix the problem!
I had the same issue, the new 16pro had an update so I set it up->updated and then erased it->did the process over and it worked.
Same issue, turned off 16 Pro and restarted. The connection didn't happen immediately, had to cycle bluetooth on 15 Pro and lock/unlock the old phone before setup restarted.
Same issue, rebooting the new iPhone and starting over fixed it.
Same issue with iPhone 12 Pro -> iPhone 16 Pro. Rebooting the 16 Pro and starting over worked for me.
Had the same issue and waited for 1.5 hours!! My carrier is ATT btw.

Me too. The advice to shut down and start back up helped. To get it to retransfer from my older phone, I had to shut it down and start it back up as well. Transfer worked fine after that.
I had to turn mine off and restart the process as well. Then it worked.
