Hello folks, does anybody know what the repair costs for MacBook Air M2 would be without AppleCare plan in India?
Repairs like battery replacement, overheating, screen issues etc. Repairs from Apple Official and Authorised Resellers

I checked this site. For battery replacement below 80 percent which is common after a few years of usage, it says Rs 15,900. The AppleCare+ section says that it can be repaired at no charge (is this true along with the estimated price?). Meanwhile, the cracked screen and enclosure damage issues says Rs 8,900 as a service fee with AppleCare+. So I presume that this repair costs way more without the plan?
It's quite confusing since instead of getting the actual estimate, Apple reveals service cost with the Care plan. Makes it difficult to decide on getting the Care plan.
The quotes in the estimator on the page I linked to are for repairs when the Mac is out of warranty. For instance, battery replacement on an M2 MacBook Air would start at INR 15,500.
An AppleCare+ plan extends the standard warranty of the iPhone, including battery replacement at no additional charge if the battery health drops below 80%. So yes, repair prices and battery replacement are significantly more expensive if your Mac is out of warranty and not covered by an AppleCare+ plan.
Note that you must buy an AppleCare+ plan either at the time of purchase of the Mac or within 60 days after. If you already own your Mac and it's been more than 60 days since you purchased it (new from Apple or an authorized Apple reseller) then you cannot now purchase AppleCare+.

From Apple's page on AppleCare+ in India:
Service coverage is available only for Mac and its original included accessories for protection against (i) defects in materials or workmanship, (ii) batteries that retain less than 80% of their original capacity and (iii) unlimited incidents of accidental damage from handling, each incident being subject to a service fee of ₹8900 for screen damage or external enclosure damage, or ₹25900 for other accidental damage.
I do not know what the replacement cost for screen damage would be without AppleCare+, though I've seen other users say that the cost can range from ₹15,000 to ₹25,000. You can check with an authorized Apple service center and get an estimate so you can compare.
Correct. Even with AppleCare+, I will have to shell out Rs 8,990 as shown on the link as a 'Service Fee' for screen and enclosure damage. Is that right?
