I got my new iPhone 16 pro max yesterday. The camera control button (even though I have the settings properly configured to open the camera on a single press, and I did the new software update this morning) only works after pressing it twice. I want to know what’s going on in terms of bug fixes for software or if it’s a defective unit all together?

I did a reset of the settings on my new iPhone 16 Pro, and it now works on a single click.
However, it doesn't activate the camera function if the screen is off, you have to wake up the phone first, and then the single-click works.

Thx, same problem here. So if resetting the options helps, I will try it but I am a bit afraid what the reset exactly means and how much work it is to sort things out afterwards 😜

I have the same problem. I am unable to take a picture with the camera app also because it freezes and closes the app. Very frustrating
I bought the iPhone 16 Pro and the slider on the camera control is not working at all. I dont't understand what is the issue. Does somebody know how to fix this? I am on iOS 18.1 roght now.
It’s not up to the user to try a new grip, a new case, or change button sensitivity. This is a design issue, Apple, so focus on the user experience rather than putting in on the user.
