iPhone 16 Pro running slow after iOS 18 Update

just off the phone with the senior advisor of Apple regarding the sluggish performance of this phone. Just got a bunch of bs when I explained how it can be slower than my iPhone 13, and sometimes I use an app and the phone just shuts down, and it's not from one app but multiple apps including the built in apps of Phone/Call, Photos, Safari etc. Was told I'm wrong to compare iPhone 13...and we need to isolate the problem. If I could, I would not have called. Something just tells me there maybe system wide issue...even maybe certain settings that somehow work weirdly against the performance..nothing. I had to cut her off and said okay I'll screen record my evidences later on and walk into a store to see help. I've been living with this slowness since I got this phone. It's just sporadic so it's hard to prove in the moment. Like making a call the other day and the phone shut down. I can't repeat that. Anyone with any luck?

I am having the same issue. My 12 pro never had these issues. the battery was dying fast but the phone was never slow, or timed out like this. i purchased my 16 pro less than 45 days ago. I freezes all the time. even when I am in the settings or something not 3rd party app related.

After a few days thinking the lagginess was a me problem, I see it is a wider issue. Very slow to open apps, webpages, everything! Very annoying.

My iPhone XR was faster loading across the board than this pos. Very disappointed to say the least. $1500 joke

Used Direct Transfer. IT is everything that is slow. Browsing, apps timing out, even double click to bring up card in wallet to pay failed today. Just flakey. Like no Apple product before it.

Same issue. Very disappointed so far. My iPhone 12 mini was much faster uploading than my new updated iPhone 16 pro.

I am on the same page, I am still using my old 12 pro as secondary phone it is good but my new 16 pro is way sluggish.

This worked for me. Really disappointed that one of the big 'selling points' of the Iphone 16 was Apple Intelligence. Sounds like it might be an Oxymoron!

Yeah, I had the same thing happened with mine. If this happens again, I will be switching to Samsung during the 30 trial next update. I’m done with the Apple degradation in quality.
