Why am I not receiving notifications from my Apple Watch Series 10?

Brand new Apple Watch Series 10. When it is finished charging, I simply do not get the notification on my phone as I did with my old watch.

The settings to notify me (Track Sleep, Charging Reminders) are ON, as before. All notifications for apps on both sides enabled. Watch and phone are up to date.

Steps taken:

Rebooted both watch and phone.

Toggled all settings off and on, on both devices.

Unpaired watch and set up again. Rinse, repeat.

Rebooted both again.

No matter what I do it will not notify me, as the old watch was doing just fine. All settings are correct. Watch is tracking sleep just fine.

Watch talks to phone fine for other things, for instance ECG result notifications pop up on phone after testing.

Ideas?

Update to my original post:

I did a Restore from a Backup from my Previous Watch followed the prompts and this morning the Notifications for "Your Battery is fully charged" has returned.

Initially when i got my new watch 10 i ran it as a new watch, a mistake on my part.

I just received my New Apple watch 10 for Christmas and "the Notification for your Battery is Fully Charged" is not appearing as it did on my other Apple Watch.

I checked all settings all are correct., ie, Apple Watch10 and Apple iPhone16pro

Could Apple Support please investigate to see if there is a fix for this coming, i notice on here that there are many folks having the very same issue

Many Thanks in advance,

Rose

I’ve just tried this, and it worked. My only issue is I’d done a clean install to eliminate a battery drain issue from my old watch. I’d tried restoring already, but the bug carried over, so I then installed clean. I’ll leave it for a bit and see how the battery survives.

It’s odd, but it could be a clue for them to fix it. I’ll update my bug report with this. Still hope they fix it, as I do prefer a clean install as obviously some setting from my old watch is buggy.

Thanks

Experiencing the same issue with Apple Watch 10 and İphone 13 . Also its blocking the whatsapp notifications on the phone , not getting the notifications untill I open the app. I disconnected and re-connected my watch to phone it resolved the problem but for a short nottice , this is deffinetly a bug and I am surprised so no response though so much people are affected

Hi.

I have tried everything with my Watch ultra. It is the same thing. Some stuff gets in. Some others totally not even a red dot and no haptics etc.

visits and calls with helpdesk resulted in numerous resets which in itself is frustrating.

and each action that the helpdesk suggests only leads to resets.

it is obviously an issue - why would I want to use a watch that is supposed to be smart but let me worry if my family or someone is trying to look for me???

sigh.

I’m not sure what firmware you’re referring to, I just used the same backup of my Apple Watch 8 that used back in September when I got the Ultra 2 and it’s still running on 11.3.1, there was no IOS update, just a repeat of the steps I took when I first bought the Ultra 2. In any case, it fixed it for me, that’s all I care about.

Yeah that seems to be fixing the issue but it’s just a band aid for the scab lol. I’m thinking about going back to the original 10 firmware cause it seems like the rest of my operations aren’t working correctly. Example: my old Apple Watch 8 wasn’t cellular service and my 10 is but since I’m working off of the 8 version my cellular service isn’t working and everything is connected properly. What a nightmare lol.

I am having watch 9 and iPhone 16 pro ,it is not working. Earlier I was having 11 and I used to get the battery full charged notification.

i am surprised ,there are so many people facing this issue and apple is not taking care of it .

please let me know if that issues is resolved already for which i am not aware.

if not I hoping apple would resolve it wry soon !

I have an Apple Watch Ultra series one and it’s having the same issue. I get all notifications except for when my Apple Watch is charged which used to happen on my previous Apple Watch but it’s not happening now what’s going on? I’ve done the same steps too I’ve basically turned notifications off and then on I’ve had to unpair my watch after I’ve turned it off and on as well power wise and when I paired it again, nothing has changed what’s going on again now?
