Since installing macOS Sequoia (15.0), I've had a problem when I open a Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint file with Office 365 (latest version 16.89). The application doesn't respond. I have to force it to quit and open again: MS Word opened the file correctly. I've reinstalled Office several times, but the problem persists. In general, I can open one file, then application not responding.

found the solution of my case myself. turns out the culprit is the onedrive. my onedrive version is not app store version. trying some way to update it but i got no clue. so i uninstalled it and reinstall it with the onedrive of app store version. now that it's solved

The 15.01 did not fix the issues
About two weeks later, the issue seems to have resolved. No problem opening Word and PPT docs for about the last week. Was on OS 15, updated to 15.1 just a couple of days ago so that wasn't it.
You're very lucky. At the moment, I use a PC (windows 11) when I use Office 365
This works for me 1 time. Afterwards I have the same issue again. Do I have to downgrade from Sequoia?
Adobe creative cloud also doesn’t work. This make my Mac not usable for my work, the whole creative cloud suite and MS office all dead. My only option is to change to a windows machine for now.
my personal experience after 20 years with apple, ends here now in exchange for moving forward we go back, I sell everything I'm not interested in apple anymore.
It worked for me! But If I restart the computer it does not work again.
