CarPlay settings on my iPhone will not respond despite being updated

I have the iPhone 16 promax. I’ve tried reconnecting Bluetooth, different cords, tried in different cars and still my CarPlay isnt working. My screen time isn’t restricting it. My CarPlay is on through settings. What do I do now? I’m getting frustrated and upset I upgraded.

yes my iOS also up to date.

If you had a phone previously connected to your car, try the following:


  1. Go into Settings on your iPhone, tap General then about and see the name of the phone and change the name to something Suzi's iPhone 16 Pro Max
  2. Go into your cars system and tell it to forget the previous phone (you may need to dig into the car systems settings to do this, so refer to your owner's manual to learn how to do this.
  3. Now try to set up CarPlay again in your car
