WiFi not connecting after iOS 18 update

I updated my iPhone 16 to iOS 18 on the 26th sep. After the update, my phone won’t connect to wifi. It shows “no internet connection”under the wifi name. I have tried every solution stated online but to no avail. Any suggestions pls?

It’s not a wifi/ router problem cuz my iPad (with iPadOS 17) & other devices are working fine. It’s really frustrating because idk how long I can go like this with my phone not being able to connect to any wifi….I also don’t know when the next update is gonna launch & whether it will fix this wifi issue or not

As promised, I’m back to report on my visit to the Apple Store regarding the WiFi issues I’ve been experiencing since the iOS 18 update.

The staff at the store pinpointed the issue to incompatible certificates and VPN profiles that were blocking WiFi traffic.

A NordVPN certificate was causing interference, even when the VPN was not active.

Their recommendation was to delete the problematic certificate, reinstall NordVPN, and adjust settings to trust all WiFi networks.

After following these steps, my WiFi connection was instantly restored.

For those who are facing similar connectivity problems, checking for outdated certificates or conflicting VPN profiles could be the key to solving your issue.

This worked for me too but I have like privacy warning below my WiFi connection. I don’t know if this is good though I have WiFi now. Next time I will not do any updates anymore. Never 👎 unless it is really necessary.

I have an iPhone 11. The VPN on my phone is through TMobile, so I tried working with their customer support, and was sent up to technical support and was reassured that it was known issue and that Tmobile and Apple were working on a fix together and they would call me back, hopefully within 24 hours ago. I thought it was working after I rebooted my phone the next day, but I guess I was just being optimistic. It’s been two or three days and I’m still not connecting to wifi with my phone. Luckily I haven’t updated my ipad yet.

Does your iPhone 11 still have its original battery?

And what's the Maximum Capacity % here?...

I agree. This has been my issue too since my Iphone 16 ios18 and they keep saying they think its AT&T's fault for some sort of protection software. I deleted all of my AT&T things and it's still happening.

Same thing except, I can get it to connect but then if I leave the house and come back or turn my wifi off and on it disconnects and will not reconnect unless I forget the network and readd it every single time. Apple can't figure it out either.

Just updated 18.1.1 and I can no longer access my work's WiFi. I have tried every suggestion provided thus far in this thread to no avail. I have an iphone 15pro, no VPN, nothing fancy - just a regular every day wireless account log-in and it will not connect no matter what I try. This is unacceptable, Apple.

After update to iOS 18.2 my iPhone 14 Pro Max shows no internet. I thought it was my internet connection and had cox tech come to fix internet. He checked everything and confirmed all signals are good. Then I realized that all other devices are running fine , it’s just Apple devices that were updated to latest iOS. What will take Apple to fix this!!!

Today I updated to 18.0.1 on my devices, Apple Watch, IPhone and IPad.

I no longer have an internet connection on my iPad.

I would like some help here.

This doesn’t fix it for me. Still can’t connect to apple music on wifi. Homepods are all broken too.

Thanks @charlesf this solution solved the wifi connection issue. I am pretty sure the problem started after updating my iOS to 18.0.1.
