WiFi not connecting after iOS 18 update

I updated my iPhone 16 to iOS 18 on the 26th sep. After the update, my phone won’t connect to wifi. It shows “no internet connection”under the wifi name. I have tried every solution stated online but to no avail. Any suggestions pls?

It’s not a wifi/ router problem cuz my iPad (with iPadOS 17) & other devices are working fine. It’s really frustrating because idk how long I can go like this with my phone not being able to connect to any wifi….I also don’t know when the next update is gonna launch & whether it will fix this wifi issue or not

As promised, I’m back to report on my visit to the Apple Store regarding the WiFi issues I’ve been experiencing since the iOS 18 update.

The staff at the store pinpointed the issue to incompatible certificates and VPN profiles that were blocking WiFi traffic.

A NordVPN certificate was causing interference, even when the VPN was not active.

Their recommendation was to delete the problematic certificate, reinstall NordVPN, and adjust settings to trust all WiFi networks.

After following these steps, my WiFi connection was instantly restored.

For those who are facing similar connectivity problems, checking for outdated certificates or conflicting VPN profiles could be the key to solving your issue.

I have the same issue with my 15ProMax. It was working fine until I updated to IOS18.0.1. Immediately afterwards my phone turned into a piece of junk. Carplay apps won't operate properly. Phone won't give me decent connection to wifi, at home or away. Apps load slow to none. I spent an hour with support and they can't help. Want me to spend more time today.

I have updated network settings and reset all to factory default. Still stuttering

joeanna ~ The long process of applying an iOS update to an old iPhone with a weak battery can be the proverbial "straw that broke the camel's back." So...

Does your iPhone 11 still have its original battery?

And what's the Maximum Capacity % here?...

Mike ~ Presumably, before the update, the battery was already weak at 80% and due for replacement. Then the long process of applying the iOS update to your iPhone with a weak, aging battery was the proverbial "straw that broke the camel's back."

But many mistakenly blame the iOS update instead of the battery — we see it all the time here in ASC.

A maximum capacity of 79% indicates a weak battery and explains the symptoms you're seeing. Apple suggests replacing the battery at around 80%. So have the aging battery replaced and all will (probably) be well:

iPhone 12 Pro, iOS 18.0.1, Wi-Fi connects, no LAN and internet access, and I've tried all the suggested fixes (reset network, AP set to 5GHz [only], private Wi-Fi address off, limit IP address tracking off).

If I turn Wi-Fi off and then back on, I'll have internet access for less than 60 secs (Wi-Fi symbol showing on the iPhone, and I can see the WAN traffic on my router for my iPhone's IP address), but it soon stops (and stays stopped) until I turn Wi-Fi off and then back on again.

This seems to happen whenever I update iOs, and it is really frustrating. I have an iPhone 14 and I just updated the OS to 18.1. Now, I'm getting the "No Internet Connection" message. I am using NordVPN; it seems to work fine normally.

So, how do you delete the problematic certificate and how do you identify it? I'm willing to try this if there's a chance of it fixing this issue. It seems to years iOS upgrades have broken WiFi or Bluetooth (even without NordVPN). Maybe someday Apple will get their act together.

Thanks!

Had no problem with WiFi on my devices under iOS 18. Updated to iOS 18.1 yesterday and all was fine. Until waking up this morning and none of my devices was connected. Only way to work is to connect them to my phone through hotspot, but this is limited by my subscription.

Don't have a VPN on them and the other options of switching off Private Wi-Fi Address and Limited IP Address Tracking didn't work either. Samer with restarting the device.

So for me the only option at this time is to use HotSpot or not using my devices.

This is unbelievable.

Please help me solve this
