iMessage thread stuck on satellite

Hello! I’m an iPhone 14 user got my phone like 4 months or less ago. My phone keeps entering the satellite mood for what reason I don’t understand because it does that when I’m home where the sim network is really good and no one’s network has ever been disrupted. At first it went into satellite and I updated the phone to iOS 18. Something and then this time it did the same, I tried updating again since there’s a notification for an update but the update took 2 days showing’verifying update’ and i couldn’t use the phone since you can do nothing with the screen. I only have to use WiFi so this makes navigation hard for me since I’m somewhat new in the area and I can’t use my phone normally which is beginning to annoy! I’m so confused and I don’t know what to do. School is starting soon and the phone has my bus ticket and can only access those while connected to the internet which I’m an able to do. Please help me out 🥹

I updated to iOS 18.01 and it didn’t do it for me. But I did find a fix in my post above.

Also, everything is fine on my MacBook. It doesn't show the "is only connected to satellite" alert in the message thread, and I can send media and initiate calls. But not from my iPhone. 🙄

I'm having the same problem, but these proposed workarounds are not working for me.

Same here - nothing and 10+ hours with Apple has been no help.
