How to control AirPods Pro Sound Modes on Apple Watch?

I can’t control my AirPods Pro sound mode using my Apple Watch Ultra 2 after the recent update. Watch OS11 and iOS 18. Am I the only one?? Now I have to go back to my phone to change the modes or press my AirPods which I’m not fond of. Apple why did you remove that useful feature?

I found a workaround. Not sure if it is cos I find it really troublesome. Instead of the previous shortcut where we can adjust tap on the AirPods in Music on the watch, I have to tap on the connected devices to select AirPods. Once selected I can adjust the sound mode. BUT, it cuts / stop the music from playing you see while my music is playing, the watch is selected instead of my AirPods so once the mode has changed I have to go back to music to play it again. I find this really annoying. The old method was much better.
