Daughters age wrong on Family Sharing

I am so frustrated as my daughter wants Apple Pay now aged 13 but I made a mistake whilst setting her up a while ago and she’s aged 7 on family sharing. Please could someone help me as driving me crazy her constant asking!

When she tries to make an in-app purchase or sign-up to the Arcade 3-month trial, she has asked for permission, I’ve approved the requests, but we can’t get any further. Adult in family is being forced to ask permission before making purchases We thought it’d be good to have our accounts able to access each other (and share apps) so my wife and I set up Apple Family. First, it cleared my wife’s saved payment method and replaced it with mine. Fine. I don’t mind that. But she didn’t notice that had happened until I mentioned seeing the purchases. Now, it won’t let her purchase anything without getting approval from me. She is an adult. This is humiliatingly annoying. I’ve gone in to see if I had accidentally clicked “ask to buy” but that’s not even an option. (Because, she is an adult!) There doesn’t seem to be anyway to turn this off, and we’re ready to just turn off Apple Family entirely. please tell me there’s some way to fix this (all our devices are fully up-dated)

How can I allow my spouse, who is listed as a parent or guardian in Family Sharing, to buy movies on AppleTV without asking my permission? “Ask to Buy” is not there in iOS 26 With current posts here in the community, they are from several years ago. I am in iOS 26, and when I follow the directions in the knowledge base, I select Family Sharing, I select his name, ”Ask to Buy” is not there. I do not want to give access to my Apple Card, because it says that it will share my purchases and other information with him, even if I just listed him as a “participant.“ We keep our finances separate. I do want him to be able to authorize purchases when he wants to buy a movie on Apple TV. Is there updated information on this feature? Is this something I need to add to the Apple TV? I should also mention that this has nothing to do with Family Sharing…we are already sharing purchases. This is different.
