I get pop-ups saying my MacBook Air is effected with 5 viruses, is It legit?

It doesn't really. If this is a message presented while on the internet, it is a scam attempt. Close the offending page and avoid sites that are involved in such bogus advertising tactics.

Why do you think you have 5 viruses?

Delete the warnings/scam emails/popups about having viruses if this is what you are seeing.
