iOS 18.0.1 sound recognition and battery issue?

Starting on October 3, apparently after installing 18.0.1, sound recognition began using large amounts of battery (up to 45% per day according to app usage in the battery settings). I have had sound recognition turned on for some time but never seen this amount of usage before. It is apparently not just usage compared to other apps because total battery has been used up (for example 95% down to 10% in just five hours while I was asleep). I am wondering if this is an issue caused by 18.0.1 and if it is being seen by others. This is on a 14 Pro Max.

I am not using my Ipad for 12 hours, I set the device in airplane mode and from 100% fully charge to 85% in just 12 hours, the only activity was the Sound Recognition in 100% activity, so yes, it is draining too much battery and it means that Siri is listening all the time.

I just turned sound recognition off for the time being. I haven’t tried to turn it back on to see if that made any difference or not. I was just going wait until 18.1 comes out because I don’t really rely on sound recognition for anything important.
