Updating constantly in background
iphone 16 pro max battery setting shows a constant background update running from last couple of hours!
Any clues? this happened after updating to iOS18.0.1.

After any major update (or an upgraded phone) the databases in the phone must be reconfigured for the new iOS version. To speed this up you should leave the phone plugged in and connected to Wi-Fi, and locked. The best time to do this is overnight. And in general, you should charge any iPhone overnight every night, and enable automatic nightly backups.
