Please Help.... My computer has been repaired by Apple FIVE times since I purchased it in March 2023. It is now broken for the sixth time, and my warranty has expired.
I have a 2022 MacBook Air with the M2 chip, and overall, it has worked well. However, my charger has failed for the SIXTH time. In my previous five visits to the Apple Store Genius Bar, the employees couldn't identify the root cause of the issue. Typically, they would replace the charging cable, and they have also changed the adapter and the duckhead. However, after a couple of weeks, it would start flashing orange and then stop working altogether.
Approximately 3.5 months ago, an employee decided the MagSafe charging board needed to be replaced. At that time, my warranty had expired, and I had firmly explain that this was a manufacturing issue and I should not be responsible for the cost considering the number of repairs that occurred during my warranty period. They complied and covered the cost. Well.. MY CHARGER STOPPED WORKING AGAIN.
I'm unsure what to do at this point. Given my history with this computer, it's clear that it's faulty, and I don’t want to spend own money to fix the same issue, only to have it happen again.
