How to safely remove a stuck DVD from MacBook drive?
I inserted a dvd and it appears stuck. It's not recognized on the desktop. This is a commercial dvd movie

Not knowing what you have tried so far, see if any of the following can help:
If you have a stuck DVD in an Apple SuperDrive, there are a few methods you can try to safely eject it:
- If you have a keyboard with an Eject key, hold down the Eject key for a few seconds.
- Try the following command in the Terminal: drutil eject
- Restart your Mac and immediately hold down the left mouse button during startup. This can force the SuperDrive to eject the DVD during the boot process.
- Finally, try unplugging the SuperDrive from your Mac and hold it with the slot facing downward. Gently shake or tap the SuperDrive while holding it downward, then reconnect it and try the eject methods again.
