CarPlay Nissan Maxima 2020 and up

Voice assistant keeps popping up on dashboard, lose steering wheel skip controls it’s probably because Voice shortcuts on IOS 18 can give problems and have affects on CarPlay music due to Mic always on (orange dot). Music may play like background music or through iPhone instead of car. Turn of voice shortcut and see what happens.

CarPlay music switches to Voice speaker when near home and/or randomly (coping from another post but same issue) So I use CarPlay to play all my music, there is a strange issue I've had for years now. The seems to only happen around my apartment or sometimes randomly in the car. It happens with all music apps (Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal). The CarPlay system switches the audio to Voice Control (music is lower quality, sounds almost mono) as if I am playing music through a phone call (think of when you are on hold listening to music). The only way to stop this is to pause the music or press siri to interrupt it. The music goes back to playing normally after that. This has happen in different cars (Lexus to Mazda). I believe the issue is an app that triggers this switch, almost of the mic is trying listen, like Alexa. Not sure what to do, its very annoying.

Screen Reader issues on CarPlay with iOS 18 Hi, this is my first time here. I listen to a lot of content using either screen reader or third party apps like Narrator, PDFAloud, etc. That’s my go to during my long commute to work. Everything was working great until I downloaded iOS 18. And now the voice just breaks and it is so frustrating. The problem doesn’t exist when listening to music. It only seems to be there for screen readers/narrators. I drive a 2024 Lexus RX 350. If someone can please help me resolve this, will really appreciate it. Thank you!

How to stop Voice Control (visible blue overlay with audible prompt when iPhone is vertical or horizontal How do I stop Voice Control from overlaying a blue screen and audible prompt sound whenever my iPhone is vertical or horizontal? I have Siri off. I have everything off that I can think of. This has only happened since updating to 18.1.1 on my 14Pro
