Hey Apple Support - READ THESE COMMENTS ABOUT “Disclaimer”
I use Xfinity for cable and I too cannot watch “Disclaimer” but can watch all other Apple shows.
I log into a “Disclaimer” episode and here is what happens - I see the Apple logo, I see the “Before” preview, I see the legal warning for “Disclaimer”, and then BLACKNESS - but if I fast forward the content flashes by along the bottom bar but press play and BLACKNESS.
My favorite is the comment comes from person who called support and was told since they could see it on their computer it must be an issue with their TV and therefore it couldn’t be with Apple. So sorry no help for them.
Maybe it is a particular TV model or cable carrier or state? Or something else. But if APPLE SUPPORT WOULD READ THESE COMMENTS AND TALLY UP VOTES they would maybe intuit “where there is smoke there is maybe … a fire.”
I found a work around and have watched all the episodes, but now it is happening again for episode 5 and frankly I can’t be arsed to do the work around if Apple can’t be arsed to read the community and see trends.

I am getting a black screen after the trailer from Slow Horses ends. I’ve tried multiple times. And this is not happening with other shows on Apple TV.
We were able to watch episode 3 of Disclaimer but are not able to load episode 4. Help! We have tried everything with no luck!!
I have Apple + TV. I watched the first two Disclaimer episodes. The next ones will not load. Help!
I cannot watch disclaimer on my TV. It’s just black. I can fast forward and see that there’s pictures there, but the screen is black. Turn on shrinking and watch it. What’s wrong?
Try fast-forwarding a minute or so into the show, then exiting and reentering and resuming play. Each time I watch the show I spend 10 minutes or so trying out various things, and it eventually works. No problem watching it on my computer.
Same black screen when trying to watch Disclaimer E4.
I called Apple TV Plus support. The agent listened to me, then put me on hold so she could talk to her supervisor. Got back to me saying that since I can watch it on my computer, it must be a problem with the TV and that they couldn't help me. Apparently Apple is completely unaware of the problem.
Just watched all episodes of Disclaimer with no problem. Since some of verified it works fine on iPhone and Mac, but does not on their TV, then there are 2 steps to take:
I made it work on my Apple TV by starting the next episode in the Apple TV app on my Macbook and then starting the episode on my TV. Then closed my MacBook and it kept playing on my TV.
Same. I can’t play the third episode but 1-2 and 4-6 load just fine. I don't even get to a black screen, the button to enter the episode simply doesn’t work. I really don't want to reset our household’s apple tv when it’s not even our problem, obviously a glitch. I just hope they fix it before I forget what happened in the first two eps!
This was happening to me as well today. If on a Mac and haven't updated your OS, I'd give that a try. Might not be related, and could just be something else resolved on their end, but it worked for me. Good luck!
Please follow these Instructions to resolve the issue on smart TV and streaming devices.

Reset the Apple TV app
If you’re having problems and the Apple TV app still doesn’t respond after restarting, try resetting the Apple TV app. When you reset the Apple TV app, all data is erased, including your accounts and configuration.
Go to the Apple TV app on your smart TV, streaming device, or gaming console.
Open the sidebar, then select Settings.
(To open the sidebar in the Apple TV app or Apple TV+ app , press any of the following on the smart TV or device remote: back button, up button, or left button.
Note: If you previously navigated to the right, you may have to press multiple times.)
Go to Reset, then select Reset.
Resetting the Apple TV app restores it to original settings and removes your personal information, TV shows, and movies from the smart TV.
I can watch it but the sound is terrible. Playing through stereo pair HomePods and some dialogue is cut out, not much better through AirPods Pro. Everything else plays and sounds fine.
