How long does or how durable is the Macbook M2 Pro's keyboard, with a reasonable 8 hour daily usage for work?

Wireless keyboard drain I have a three battery Apple wireless keyboard. Previously I used it with a 2014 Mac mini. The batteries would last a long time. When I recently upgraded to the M2 Mac mini, the battery drain barely took me through a week of usage. Any solutions?

Can I keep my Bluetooth keyboard plugged into my new iMac all day? Can I keep my keyboard plugged in all day long or does that effect the battery? Does the battery once plugged in and fully charge does the charger go off during the use of the thunderbolt cord? MacOS Monterey + A1016 keyboard short battery life? I upgraded to an M1 Mac Mini earlier this year and sadly I discovered that my trusty Apple Keyboard (A1016) would not pair! After researching the issue I found some information that involved using "blueutil" to complete the pairing process... it worked! The keyboard works great, with one exception, it now drains batteries... I've used 4 rechargeable eneloop AA batteries for years and they use to last 1-2 months or more, now I am changing them every 3-4 weeks. I suspect that something is preventing the keyboard from entering a low power / sleep state. I am thankful that the keyboard is at least still working, and I can deal with changing the batteries often but it would be amazing if someone at Apple would look into fixing the compatibility issue with their own keyboard! PS. I will buy a new keyboard when you make one that beats this old A1016!!!

Though not specific to the M2 MBP, I can tell you that I have several MBs that have worked for over ten years without any keyboard failures. Of course, daily use of these did fall off after a few years, but still, they are durable.

Macs are designed for daily use. There was an issue with one type of keyboard a few years back, and there was a recall. That type of keyboard is no longer used.
