iOS 12.5.7 incompatibility with iCloud backup on iPad Air

Please am trying to setup my iPad air clouds through my iPhone but unfortunately it says no cloud backups are compatible with the version of ios 12.5.7 on this iPad. So please what should I do ? The iPhone is ios 16.6.1 and it says it required that so in that case what should I do

Request to Delete Incompatible iCloud Backup After iOS Beta Downgrade Hello, I recently downgraded my iPhone 13 Pro from iOS 18.6 / 26.0 beta to a stable iOS version. Now I’m trying to create a new iCloud backup, but I keep getting a message that says there is a backup from a newer version of iOS, and I cannot proceed. I’ve tried deleting the old iCloud backup from my iPhone, from iCloud.com, and from the iCloud app on Windows/Mac, but none of these methods work — I receive an error saying the backup cannot be deleted. I would like to ask you to manually remove this incompatible iCloud backup from my account so I can create a new backup on my current iOS version. Thank you very much for your help!

Set the iPad Air up as a new device and migrate what you can without using the backups.
