After upgrading to Sequoia, I noticed that my Bluetooth keyboard, once connected when the laptop is turned on, disconnects after 30 seconds for a short period of time. At the same time, the Bluetooth connection for my mouse becomes laggy, and I have to turn the mouse off and on again.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? If so, are there any fixes?
If it's not an Apple Magic Keyboard then it is a 3rd party device and you should check with the vendor if they have any updates, etc. For example, Logitech has their dongle and some models also support Bluetooth. Logitech software typically updates the firmware of their devices paired to the dongle. Despite bluetooth not needing the dongle the keyboard itself might need a firmware update to handle power sleep / wake of the keyboard itself. Other keyboard brands may have their own software that may need to be updated.
Apple is very close to releasing macOS 15.1 so keep checking for updates.
As a workaround, most bluetooth keyboards will connect using a USB charging cable (Lightning cable for Apple Magic devices) that defeats it being wireless but at least the keyboard will work reliably until the bluetooth issue is resolved.
Logitech states it should work w/o drivers - but they have Options+ software which I installed - but not necessary... so Driver?
Oh - and it is ALL bluetooth devices now on this MAC since the OS upgrade
This is happening to me too on macbook pro sequoia 15.5. worked great until I upgraded. So does anybody from Apple ever respond to this?
It seems Apple is just ignoring this.
I have a Mac Mini M4 and an M1 running 15.5 , tried 3 Apple Magic keyboards that were all fine before, none connecting
Same problem with Razer Basilisk V3 X. No issues with Logitech G915 keyboard. Sequoia 15.5 on Mac Pro M4

currently dealing with seriously lagging typing as I type this- paired with intermittent disconnects, computer is basically unusable with peripherals at this time. huge disappointment.

god i really hope so because not having an apple-made keyboard work on a $6000 machine with no explanation or help from apple itself is totally unacceptable
Well, 4 days later and Bluetooth is getting flaky again so I guess my "fix" didn't actually fix anything. Back to Apple support I go.
