I have some photos that can't be deleted or modified, with no indications why.
The only option available, besides the sharing options, is "Duplicate and modify".
There are not photos from iCloud or from synchronization as I don't use them and they are bot disabled.

I called the support and we figured out it was Synced photos from a previous phone for which the photos were synced...
The solution was to sync this phone with an empty folder.
Usually this happens when pictures are added to the phone, but not in a way that they're actually imported to Photos. So Photos can show a picture, but it doesn't really have control over it. That's why Photos offers to duplicate the image-- then Photos can control the duplicate and you can edit or trash that.
This usually happens when pictures are imported from a computer, or something like that. In that case we would go back to the computer to delete them.
