Can’t disable ANC on AirPods Pro 2

Pretty sure my airpods just updated to the latest firmware today (7B19) since I actually left them plugged in for once, and all of a sudden they will not let me shut off ANC. I can only put them in noise cancelling or transparency mode, when I try and select “off” it makes a “can’t do that” type noise and goes back to transparency/noise cancelling. Deeply weird.

I tried resetting them, worked for about fifteen minutes then started again.

Not sure if this is a bug with the new hearing aid/protection features, curious if anyone else is having the same problem.

I had the same issue. You need to go into the settings for your AirPods Pro and make sure that all of the noise controls are selected/active for “Left” and “Right”. When I was experiencing the issue you’re having, it was because only the “Noise Cancellation” option was selected. As a result, I was only able to turn noise cancellation on from my AirPods Pro buttons.
